Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze On Loudoun County Porch

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire on Thursday morning in Virginia, officials say.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue crews were called to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg at approximately 11 a.m. on July 11.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with smoke showing and fire on the porch, which was quickly extinguished by first responders.

According to a spokesperson for the agency, two firefighters sustained minor injuries during the incident. No other injuries were reported.

The incident is now being investigated by the Fire Marshal's Office.

No details about the cause of the fire have been released.
